Our History

Yonkers Movers was founded in 2011 by Peter Banks with the goal of providing reliable and customer-focused moving services across the U.S. From the beginning, we prioritized treating each move carefully and offering insurance coverage to protect clients’ belongings.

Key Milestones

2011: We began with local moves, building trust through transparency and item insurance. Growth was steady via word of mouth.
2011–2018: Expanded to long-distance moves. Added full packing/unpacking services. Maintained quality despite competition by prioritizing insurance and customer care.
2019–2023: Introduced online booking, expanded storage options, and updated insurance policies. Adopted eco-friendly packing and optimized logistics.
2024: We serve residential and commercial clients with full moving, packing, unpacking, storage, and insurance services.
